We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our client. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of process operations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Responsibilities
- Monitor and control production processes to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot any process-related issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine process documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including yields, downtime, and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
- Provide training and support to new team members on process operations.
- Be responsible for the running and upkeep of a wide range of machinery and equipment on site.
- Make sure that all machinery is running efficiently, checked, and maintained in order to meet production targets.
- Assist in the training of other technicians and be open to attending additional training to enhance your skills set.
- Use your experience of working in injection moulding / blow moulding / extrusion or injection stretch moulding to full advantage.
- Display knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics (for mechanically biased Technicians).
- Have experience of bespoke automation / assembly equipment (for electrically biased Technicians).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Process Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process control systems and equipment operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- A relevant technical qualification or certification in engineering or manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
- Previous injection moulding experience is essential for this role.
