Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse, and has been featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for three years. The group employs over 1,300 people with 16 sales and customer services sites across the UK and Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland, plus Europa's own teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, China, India, the UAE and South Africa.
We are looking for a European operator to join our team in Dartford who will be the primary contact for their nominated partner – ensuring the smooth overland cargo transit from UK to Europe – in the most cost-effective manner and delivered to the customers' expectation. Our ideal candidate would have experience within the logistics industry, but we would still love to hear from you if you have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn without experience!

What you will be doing:
- Act as first point of contact for Europa branch network and overseas partners, escalating issues as required
- Controlling the arrival of cargo into the hub ensuring the freight is available to be delivered on time.
- Arranging deliveries with customers (external and internal) and partners to agreed SLA
- Communicating with customers (external and internal) and partners to manage ongoing relationships
- Research and understand financials of the service to find more profitable means to operate and making the optimum commercial decisions to reduce real cost
- Investigate cost saving with COT’s/DOT’s and routing options – maximising operating efficiency
- Planning of groupage departures (export)
What you will bring to the role:
- Strong, confident personality, with customer service or operation sales background.
- Previous experience within transport and logistics in a similar planning role.
- Time management and communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise and to pro-actively deal with situations and use initiative.
- Driven to succeed within the workplace.
