JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: BH2

WORKING HOURS: 5 on 2 off, 30 hours per week

PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is seeking a hardworking and proactive Cleaning Operative to join our team in the Bournemouth area.

Your duties will include cleaning Front of House areas, which involves hoovering, using a Scrubber Dyer, mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning the kitchen area and toilets, and ensuring outside areas are litter-free.

You will also be responsible for waste disposal, using a Baler and Compactor in the back of house.

You must have good attention to detail and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

You will be responsible for disinfecting areas according to the schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning outside areas with a T7 Ride-on Scrubber Dryer
• Cleaning windows and cappings
• Cleaning drains
• Emptying bins
• Jet washing areas
• Performing detailed work such as dusting cobwebs and cleaning the car park
• Following group and company policies and procedures
• Managing front and back of house areas
• Reporting any deficiencies in systems, equipment, or procedures that could affect service delivery, health, safety, or the environment
• Using all work equipment and personal PPE properly, following training guidelines
• Reporting issues or training needs to your line manager or via the incident reporting system

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be hardworking with good attendance, able to work to routine schedules, and proactive in identifying tasks

• Cleaning experience
• Good attendance
• Punctuality
• Good communication skills; use of radios required
• Availability for occasional cover shifts
