EMEA GIS Implementation Engineer (Mid and Senior Positions)
The 3-GIS Implementation Engineer provides support and expertise for the implementation and configuration of the 3-GIS application suite, ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/PRO/Server, and 3-GIS Mobile application software for both internal and external customers.
Perform consulting, installation, configuration, and performance tuning services for 3-GIS Network Solution, ESRI, web services, and database software on multiple server configurations and multiple architectures including cloud-based solutions.
Troubleshoot client issues with Windows Server, IIS, ESRI GIS software, 3-GIS solutions and user workflows.
Provide technical support for clients including 3-GIS Network Solution end users and client’s GIS analysis/administrators.
Evaluate existing client data and processes and develop action plans for migration to an enterprise GIS.
Perform database schema changes to databases.
Conduct customer needs assessments/requirements gathering workshops as the 3-GIS internal subject matter expert.
Create scripts and models using ArcGIS Modelbuilder, Python scripting, and/or other process automation tools.
Communicate with architects, project managers and developers to successfully develop and deploy optimal solutions.
Train both end users and system administrators on the proper use and adoption of 3-GIS Network Solution utilizing best practices.
Test new software functionality and bug fixes.
Prepare and perform detailed 3-GIS product demonstrations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering or related field.
European location or valid working permit for EU. Fluent English and working proficiency in German, French, or Spanish
Advanced Knowledge of Windows Server Administration, ESRI ArcGIS: Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise/Server, Database Management.
Proficiency with Windows Server Administration and standard Database Management (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), Database Programming (e.g.: Python Scripting).
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with telecom network design rules, standards, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of GIS OSS configuration.
Telecom Knowledge and Experience.
Knowledge of programming preferably with python and other programming languages such as Java or C++, and in-depth knowledge of one or more GIS APIs.
Legacy PNI system experience such as Ericsson Network Engineer or GE Smallworld.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with project stakeholders at all levels is essential.
