Reports To: Superintendent Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager.

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience).

Who We are:

The Allergy Centre of Excellence is due to open a state-of-the-art facility catering to patients with allergic disorders. The centre was founded by Professors Gideon Lack, Du Toit and Fox, who are renowned in the field of paediatric allergy. They are recognised internationally for their clinical excellence. ACE's new centre will be located in the heart of Harley Street District, a short walk from Great Portland Street and Oxford Circus Tube stations. The pharmacy opening hours will be from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover 9am-5pm. ACE aims to provide patients with the best possible experience when they visit our centre, providing them with easy access to various diagnostic tests and treatments. ACE's objective is to offer a variety of services under one roof, and to achieve this, we will also work with other consultants of various specialities who will obtain practising privileges at our centre. Our vision is to expand low-risk procedures to the rest of the UK and internationally to enable easy access and benefit from ACE's services for patients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacy Dispenser to join our specialist pharmacy team within a leading allergy clinic based in London. This role is ideal for an individual who is committed to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical care in line with GPhC standards and UK pharmacy regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting allergy patients through accurate dispensing and expert guidance on medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing & Compliance: Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with legal and professional requirements, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and in full compliance with GPhC standards of conduct, ethics and performance. Provide clear, informed support to patients regarding allergy treatments, including antihistamines, adrenaline auto-injectors, and immunotherapy. Respond to clinical and non-clinical queries within your scope of practice and refer appropriately when required. Work effectively with pharmacists, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
  • Stock Management: Maintain accurate records of medication stock and transactions. Assist with stock control, ordering, and storage—ensuring appropriate handling of temperature-sensitive medications.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Support the identification and reporting of medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and near misses. Contribute to safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Previous experience in a UK pharmacy working as a Dispenser/Pharmacy Technician
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A compassionate and professional approach to patient care
  • Experience working with allergy or immunology medications
  • Previous experience in a clinical or specialist pharmacy setting
