V Selective is recruiting for a North West-based, government-funded training provider organization that delivers training to some of the UK’s largest brands. Working within the Employability Department, you will deliver mental health and wellbeing courses that equip learners with skills to support themselves and identify others who may be suffering.

You will also deliver employability course qualifications, create individual learning plans, and review learner progress throughout their programmes. The mental health & wellbeing programme includes Wellbeing, Mental health awareness, and Mental health first aid.

You will be required to inspire a wide range of learners in cohorts at learning centres, in the workplace, at customer locations across the North West, and remotely using online and offline support materials.

Candidate Profile:
  • Customer Services / Employability Tutor
  • Experience of teaching mental health and wellbeing courses.
  • Understanding of safeguarding within an education setting.
  • ICT, English, and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above.
  • Teaching Qualification (Essential).
  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification (Desirable).
  • Advice and Guidance Level 3 or above (Desirable).
  • TAQA & CAVA (Desirable).
The Role:
  • Adhere to all awarding body standards and compliance requirements set by SFA and Ofsted.
  • Provide learner support through face-to-face or virtual delivery.
  • Offer information, advice, and guidance regarding course suitability and establish records and learning goals tailored to learners’ needs.
  • Induct learners into the learning environment, courses, and systems where appropriate.
  • Create, assign, and assess work-related tasks to facilitate learner progress.
  • Share sector-specific experience and knowledge with learners.
  • Collaborate with line managers and departments to develop employability programmes.
  • Embrace change positively and understand the challenges within the Further Education sector.
  • Monitor attendance and performance, reporting effectively to management.
  • Address learner requirements promptly and effectively.
  • Promote Functional Skills learning as a valued activity for employers and learners.
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values within sessions.
  • Ensure safe working practices and safeguarding in line with current legislation and policies.
  • Conduct role in line with company values and expected behaviours.
  • Implement and comply with Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.
  • Be willing to travel and work flexibly across the North West to support learners.
  • Work towards and achieve set KPIs.
  • Support departmental needs by working flexibly.
