Overview
Vehicle Preparation Operative (Trowbridge) role at South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. The AVP team is responsible for preparing ambulance vehicles and equipment to high standards so front line crews are ready to respond to emergencies. The role can be a gateway to the organisation with opportunities to develop your career within the Fleet and Equipment team or the wider Trust in patient-facing and support roles.
Responsibilities
- Process ambulances in a prescribed and controlled way to ensure each vehicle is ready to treat patients.
- Perform detailed cleaning and infection prevention & control activities.
- Check and inspect medical devices and restock consumables.
- Refuel and drive vehicles across various locations as required.
Requirements
- Current full driving licence; C1 category is preferred.
Working pattern and benefits
- Work across a 24 hour, 7 day period including days, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Unsocial hours payments are applicable in addition to the basic salary for night and weekend working.
