NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Applications are invited for the role of Audio Typist within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive typing support to Orthopaedic Consultants, Nurse Specialists, ESPs, and junior staff, while supporting the secretarial team. Occasional assistance with other administrative tasks may be required.
The role demands high accuracy, confidentiality, initiative, and effective workload management. Candidates should possess a Secretarial Studies certificate, advanced keyboard skills, proficiency in English and medical terminology, and knowledge of PC Office software.
