Power Platform Engineer
Location: Swindon, London or Northampton
Salary: Circa ÂŁ45,000
As a Power Platform E1 Engineer, you’ll be part of a skilled team overseeing the configuration, security, and governance of the Power Platform.
You’ll also be evaluating exciting new functionality being released to enhance our ability to drive the societies adoption of automation using the Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
The societies automation toolbox in the O365 space includes Power Apps, Automate, BI and Copilot Studio.

The IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery function within Nationwide is akin to the backbone of the society’s technological and operational transformation. It is an active and integral part of the Chief Operating Office, responsible for delivering Nationwide’s strategy and blueprint through its Strategic Investment Portfolio. This includes enhancing system resilience, introducing new technology, and improving customer experience.
Moreover, IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery is charged with defining the data strategy for Nationwide and future-proofing the organization with a comprehensive Tech Strategy . This involves simplifying the IT application estate and enhancing the digital experience for customers.
The function also provides infrastructure, networking, and end-user products and services, along with the support capabilities that underpin them. This includes hosting infrastructure, networking services, colleague collaboration tools, and provisioning of colleague devices.
In essence, IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery is responsible for optimising and automating products and services, ensuring that Nationwide remains at the forefront of technological innovation and service delivery. It plays a pivotal role in maintaining Nationwide’s brand and reputation, both internally and externally, by using member insight and innovative strategies to enhance engagement and attract new members while deepening relationships with existing ones.

What you’ll be doing
Aiding in the adoption of new functionality introduced within the Power Platform, specifically around Managed Environments.
Be able to advocate an “automation first” mindset and be able to articulate what’s within “the art of the possible” when it comes to using the Power Platform.
You’ll work closely with your fellow End User Services colleagues, lots of teams within IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery and those who look after our internal processes.
In fact, one of your big challenges in the first six months will be to help automate repetitive administration tasks on the platform to increase the pace at which adoption can take place.
About you
As a minimum you’ll have:
- Proficiency in administering Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Automate, BI, and Copilot Studio, with an understanding of their configuration options.
- Experience in managing Power Platform policies such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Environment, and Enterprise policies.
- The ability to assess, test, and demonstrate new administrative functionalities in the Power Platform.
- Knowledge of the capabilities of Copilot Studio and Copilot Agents.
- Familiarity with key components of M365 and Azure, such as Intune, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and EntraID.
- Understanding of supporting functionalities in Azure, including Service Principals, Azure Key Vault, and Azure API Manager.
