We are currently seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Winchester. You will be working for one of the UK's leading timber staircase manufacturers, with an outstanding reputation for quality, reliability and workmanship. We are looking for joinery enthusiasts who want a new challenge as a bench joiner.

As a Bench Joiner you will be a key member of the workshop team and will be involved in every step of the production processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To manufacture the bespoke staircases in the workshop
  • Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing
  • Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machines
  • Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy
  • Work both in a team and individually
  • Understand the basics of woodworking
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Able to operate hand tools for wood cutting, cleaning, buffing and sanding to client specifications
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Organised and work in a professional manner

Working hours: 07:00-17:00 (47.5 hours)

Salary: £14-£18 per hour
