Pouch Room Operator Job Description
Department: Pouch Room
Position Type: Hourly
Hourly Wage: $27.38
Function: Operations

Summary: Operate multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of SFG pouches.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Start up, operate, and shut down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
- Make packaging roll changes as needed.
- Optimize equipment uptime; monitor mechanical operation and unjam machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and notify technicians.
- Supervise quality checks on pouch visual points and seal alignment.
- Ensure adequate quantities of accurate foil stock (FIFO) and test it.
- Complete all required audits and document material losses, downtime, and production totals.
- Palletize finished boxes of pouches.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the area is clean and orderly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and complete all DMS forms.
- Maintain the room in a tour-ready state.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.
Proficiencies/Abilities: Safety awareness, quality orientation, adaptability, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Other Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, basic mechanical understanding.
Working Conditions: Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather, extreme cold, electrical hazards, vibration. Moderate noise level. Use of PPE required.
