Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations and research sites across the UK, as well as electricity generation at the Maentwrog hydroelectric plant. NRS Dounreay focuses on the clean-up and demolition of the former fast reactor research site. About The Role: We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our professional security team at Wylfa site to protect assets and personnel, enabling decommissioning activities. This role involves a rotational pattern of day and night shifts, including weekends and training days, averaging 37 hours per week.
Key Duties:
- Implement site access and control procedures according to NSSP and SAIs.
- Conduct searches of people, property, and vehicles as per procedures and standards.
- Respond to site alarms and follow reporting protocols.
- Complete security training to achieve SQEP status.
- Perform security patrols and report incidents or irregularities.
- Take immediate action in response to security incidents.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues per SAIs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educated to NQF Level 1 / NVQ Level 1 or equivalent, or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Hold a valid SIA license.
- Possess a valid UK driving license.
- NVQ Level 2 Security Management is desirable.
