The focus of the SharePoint Administrator & Solutions Specialist is to manage and maintain SharePoint environments with a focus on administration, content management, and migration processes, while supporting site architecture design. They will play a key role in ensuring SharePoint’s alignment with business needs and its integration into broader digital transformation initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including site collections, document libraries, and lists, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Support the design and implementation of site architecture, content types, metadata structures, and permissions.
- Manage SharePoint migrations, including data mapping, transition planning, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee content governance by regularly reviewing and updating SharePoint content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and adherence to compliance policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, including performance, accessibility, and functionality concerns.
- Provide training and support to end-users and internal SharePoint champions on best practices, features, and functionality.
- Assist in implementing governance policies to align with internal standards and external regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SharePoint’s role in business workflows and process improvements.
- Support SharePoint integration with third-party applications and databases.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and usability of SharePoint environments.
- Expertise in SharePoint administration, site architecture, and migration processes.
- Familiarity with governance, security models, permissions, and user access controls in SharePoint.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint online
- Understanding of content management principles, version control, managed metadata and Term Store.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps and advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, OneDrive, and Office apps.
- Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools and processes (e.g. ShareGate).
- Experience integrating SharePoint with third-party applications and databases.
