About The Role
In this role, you will:
- Provide practical and emotional support to women and children living in the refuge, supporting clients with benefits claims, budgeting, and accessing external services.
- Accompany clients to appointments such as court, solicitors, and healthcare providers, and attend MARAC and other multi-agency meetings to advocate for clients.
- Work with other agencies to secure specialist support for issues such as debt or substance misuse, and assist with resettlement services for families moving on from the refuge.
- Support safeguarding and child welfare in collaboration with the Child Support Worker.
- Hold a caseload of up to 8 families, offering tailored support through structured plans.
- Complete risk and needs assessments and respond appropriately in line with IDAS policies.
- Promote activities that support recovery and empowerment.
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.
