We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the MBSE team of our automotive client based in Leicestershire. This role plays a key part in defining and managing system architectures and specifications for innovative motorcycle platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, experience in system-level design using MBSE tools, and a proven ability to work across disciplines to resolve issues and influence best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of system solution specifications using PREEvision.
  • Guide cross-functional collaboration to define communication protocols (CAN/LIN) and system diagnostics.
  • Review and resolve technical issues raised during development and validation phases.
  • Ensure complete and traceable documentation for all deliverables and manage stakeholder sign-offs.
  • Define and refine logical architectures and validate system-level functionality across projects.
  • Support junior engineers and promote MBSE best practices throughout the department.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or related field (HND with substantial relevant experience may be considered).
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working toward it.
  • Strong proficiency in MBSE principles and methods, including SYSML/UML modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with systems engineering tools such as PREEvision, DOORS, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of requirements capture, management, and validation.

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:

  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification.
  • Automotive sector experience with knowledge of CAN/LIN protocols and diagnostics strategies.
  • Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall development methodologies.

Skills:

  • Technically confident and a natural problem solver.
  • Able to work independently, influence decisions, and lead technical discussions.

Education:
