Are you looking for a lab based role where you will receive full cross training? Do you have an interest in immunohistochemistry? Do you want to work for a company that helps improve health and improve lives? We are currently recruiting for a Digital Imaging Scientist at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. You will work within our modern purpose-built Histology department, where you will play a key role within the Specialty Pathology Services group (SPS).
Following a comprehensive training and career development scheme, the responsibilities of this varied role will include:
- Histopathology slide scanning
- Metadata entry
- QC of slide scans and metadata
- Physical shipments of samples
- Digital transfer of slide scans to client pathologists
- Communicating study updates internally and externally
- Adherence to Good Laboratory Practice regulations
- Undertaking cross-training initiatives within both SPS and other areas across Safety Assessment
The job may involve periods of lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment and samples.
About You: You will have an enthusiastic and committed attitude. You will have a target-orientated outlook, suited to working within a fast-paced, production-intensive environment. Once trained, the job involves working overtime, which may be weekdays, weekends, Bank Holidays and may be part of the on-call rota.

Education: Educated to BSc degree level in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Experience: Applicants should have good IT skills including Microsoft Excel. Previous histology and sample management experience is desirable but not essential.
