A picturesque independent, privately owned hotel based in the Somerset, Dorset and Devon borders is looking for a Demi Chef, looking to further progress their skillset. Using the finest local ingredients, guests expect amazing fresh food. The right Chef will ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to a high standard.
Key Information:
- Salary: up to £28,000
- Hours: 5/7 days
- Location: Chard
- Contract: Permanent
Chef Responsibilities:
- To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards
- To keep all working areas clean and tidy
- To comply with the hotel's health and safety and food safety legislations
- To monitor portion control, fresh food, and dry store orders
Required skills include:
- Some understanding of produce and ingredients
- Experience in the kitchen and passion for hospitality
- Basic knowledge of food production methods
In order to be successful:
- Experience as a Commis Chef and above
- Experience with fresh food
- Dedicated to and passionate about the hospitality industry
