Our client, a market-leading engineering business is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its New Product Development (NPD) team. The role focuses on developing innovative and enhanced products in line with customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The company operates in critical industries with a strong reputation for customer focus, high-performance equipment, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems and schematics using CAD tools
- Drive product concepts based on customer insights (VOC)
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. CE, UL, CSA)
- Generate specifications, test documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support FMEA, validation, testing, and product/system integration
- Identify and apply emerging technologies and continuous improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful product delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years in NPD roles within an electrical engineering context
- Proficient in AutoCAD / SolidWorks Electrical and MS365
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- PE status is advantageous but not essential
