We are looking to appoint a Tender Writer to join our current team of writers. You will be responsible for collating, writing and producing successful tender documentation in order to win business contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- To organise multiple, complex tender submissions and take responsibility for writing clear, focussed and logical tender documents, ensuring consistency in style and content throughout.
- To ensure that comprehensive tender responses are tailored to reflect key customer requirements and are submitted within the required deadlines.
- Liaise with operational colleagues to obtain service delivery information and present this in a manner that is accurate, well-evidenced and communicates the benefits of the service to customers.
- To build effective working relationships with Managers, Service Specialists and all relevant Stakeholders, and engage with them to ensure they understand the requirements of the tender.
- To complete project plans for new tender opportunities and maintain oversight of ensuring key tasks are completed.
- To be responsible for overall editing of the tender, ensuring a coherent submission that answers all aspects and issues raised by the client within designated word limits.
- Assist with all reporting and recording of progress made with the tender process.
The candidate must have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of producing comprehensive written documents.
- 2 years' experience writing tenders or focussed reports would be preferable.
- Must possess an excellent standard of written English skills, including spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
- Be competent in the use of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be able to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills.
- To be able to demonstrate reliability and the ability to deliver against deadlines.
- Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- To be able to work under pressure, manage a busy workload and handle changing priorities.
