Based near Swindon – onsite with some hybrid flexibility. We're working with a specialist distributor at the forefront of smart building technology, from high-end AV and home automation to BMS, KNX, and networking integration. As they continue to grow, they’re looking for a passionate Technical Support Engineer who wants to deliver outstanding support to their installer network and grow into a highly valued technical expert in the field.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in AV, BMS, smart homes, or building controls, or a strong tech support background with a genuine passion for connected technology and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing remote support to professional installers — via phone, email, and screen share
  • Troubleshooting real-world integration issues with AV, smart home, or building automation products
  • Delivering or supporting technical training sessions for partners
  • Occasionally joining installers onsite to support project delivery (not core, but a great development area)
  • Helping shape demo environments and supporting the technical side of trade events
  • Logging cases, organising advance replacements, and keeping service tools like SAP up to date

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in technical support for AV, smart home, BMS, or similar tech
  • Confident troubleshooting networking or control system issues (IP, switches, routers, etc.)
  • Great communicator – able to guide customers clearly without just copying and pasting from manuals
  • Passionate about technology, curious, eager to learn, and proactive
  • Ideally, experience with systems like KNX, Control4, Lutron, Crestron, Savant, or BMS platforms
  • Based within easy reach of Swindon (Chippenham, Oxford, Cirencester, Gloucester, etc.)

What’s in It for You:

  • Join a team that actually cares about doing support properly
  • Work directly with the MD and an experienced technical lead, with long-term development planned
  • Be part of a company that invests in training, equipment, and personal growth
  • Get hands-on with cutting-edge residential and commercial smart tech

This is more than just tech support; it’s a chance to be part of a business that wants you to understand, grow, and lead in the smart building space. Apply directly or message us here at Holistx to find out more.
