Hydro International - Data Insights and Analysis has been operating in the UK for around 40 years and undertakes data analysis and collection for a variety of customers nationwide. We compile, quality assure and issue data reports to clients relating to water levels, water quality and discharge. We operate and maintain the Hydro-Logic® Flexi Logger 105 equipment installed at around 1,400 sites across the country. Our flood water monitoring systems provide invaluable data to communities affected by heavy rainfall.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hydrometry and monitoring team in Theale, Reading. The role involves visiting various sites, primarily undertaking field measurements of water quantity (flow), depth, quality, rainfall etc. Additionally, responsibilities include the installing, operating, and maintaining of telemetry logging equipment.
Essential- A passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working in water, strong swimming skills
- Confidence in working at heights, such as using ladders, and ease in working within confined spaces
- Good level of computer literacy (MS Office applications – Word, Excel)
- Valid UK driving license with a satisfactory driving history
- Demonstrates awareness of potential risks and safety protocols
- Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant environmental field (e.g., Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, etc.)
- Experienced in hands-on tasks, including use of power and hand tools
- Willing to travel as required
- Full training is provided, therefore prior experience is not required providing you possess the essential skills listed above
- Experience with Hydrometric field data collection is beneficial but not essential
