AI Engineer (City of London)

About The Role:

We are seeking a pioneering AI Engineer to join our founding team. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape and build an AI-native platform designed to revolutionize enterprise operations by orchestrating workflows between human teams and AI agents.

As a founding member, you will lead the development of intelligent systems that learn from human decision-making, automate complex business processes, and integrate seamlessly across various tools and departments. Your work will be instrumental in creating a unified, data-driven operating system that enhances productivity and efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI System Development: Design and implement advanced AI solutions to automate and optimize business processes, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Agentic LLM/RAG Systems: Build sophisticated agentic systems leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), optimizing for performance and cost by selecting appropriate models (foundation, fine-tuned, or custom-built).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI-powered solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, establishing best practices and coding standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in Deep Learning & NLP: Proven experience in deep learning with a focus on natural language processing.
• LLM Expertise: Strong understanding of large language models and grounding techniques.
• Production Deployment: Experience deploying and monitoring AI models in production environments at scale.
• Data Science Knowledge: Solid foundation in data science principles and practices.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to design and implement complex AI algorithms that solve real-world business problems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with product teams and clients.

Additional Information:

This role is based in London and paying a base salary of c£150k
