Position Description: Working in the Vehicle Design Programme Management team in the Creative Chapter, the Design Programme Lead (DPL) is the 'creative enabler' for their programme/s, driving the delivery of the Design Vision from concept to production with efficiency & clarity. As the centre of the Vehicle Design team, the Design Programme Lead will lead the delivery of their programme/s, ensuring all activities are in line with the Creative and business priorities, PCDS and delivered on time. They are accountable for ensuring Vehicle Design activities are based on Agile Ways of Working, constantly striving to improve the performance of the team. The successful candidate will report into the Vehicle Design Programme Manager.
Skills Required:
- Working in a Design Studio environment, supporting the Creative development process through to delivery.
- Project Management experience, dealing with timing, Risk & issue resolution, cost and resource systems.
- Excellent communication skills with people of all levels and expertise: notably Design, Marketing, Programme, Engineering.
Experience Required:
- Experienced at planning, monitoring and delivering programmes and projects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with an ability to influence others at all levels.
- Proactive and growth mindset.

Additional Information:
Drive and enable the Vehicle Design team to successfully deliver the Design Vision. Lead and manage all non-Creative activities to drive successful delivery of your programme/s. This can include Core, SV, Accessories and/or Bespoke. Represent Vehicle Design at Vehicle/Group level, working closely with the wider V-Org, Product Engineering, Commercial and other Enterprise teams, to drive Vehicle Design alignment and collaboration of programme content, timing and gateways deliverables. Accountable for clearly communicating programme content for your programme/s, including changes (add/deletes and programme approved studies). Ensure all metrics to achieve the programme deliverables are effectively tracked, measured and reported at the relevant levels. Effectively communicate, manage and support the resolution of risks, issues and impediments for your programme/s at pace to mitigate downstream impact. Develop and communicate credible plans (long and short term) against departmental priorities for your programme/s. Ensure consistency of programme timing against generics, communicating and aligning on any risks or challenges. Ensure your programme/s are resourced against gateway priorities and escalate resource issues to the appropriate stakeholders to mitigate risks against delivery. Guide the team within Creative, on physical and/or digital asset requirements, based on your programme/s deliverables, affordability, value and purpose. With an Agile mindset, ensure all Vehicle, Group and Squad activities and events are consistently scoped, co-ordinated and delivered in line with Agile ways of working. Share lesson learned to enable a high performing team. Lead process improvement initiatives for the Vehicle Design Programme Management team.
