We are looking for a dynamic Conference & Events Manager to lead a busy events team at Bath Spa University, delivering a wide range of student, internal, and commercial events. This is a high-impact role for someone with strong leadership, operational, and customer service skills who is able to drive revenue, streamline operations, and deliver exceptional event experiences.

As Conference & Events Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of a wide range of events at Bath Spa University - from student-focused activities like Welcome Week and Graduation to external conferences, weddings, and commercial bookings. You will oversee the end-to-end event process, manage the events calendar, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and coordinate with internal teams and external clients to deliver exceptional experiences. This role also involves managing commercial accommodation lets, driving income through strategic marketing and sales, and leading a dedicated team with a strong focus on service, efficiency, and financial performance. You will oversee budgets, reporting, and customer feedback, while contributing to business development and marketing efforts including social media, web content, and networking. Some evening and weekend work is required.

There will be a requirement to work weekends as required for this role, when only time off in lieu is provided. In addition, some Bank Holiday working may be required depending on the needs of the business. Working hours may be worked over any pattern based on any 5 days out of 7 subject to compliance with the Working Time Regulations.
