Based in Birmingham, the company runs a complex production facility using both manual and automated techniques. Ideal for an experienced Quality Engineer ready to take the next step into management, or a current Quality Manager seeking a fresh challenge, this role offers scope for significant impact and professional development.
The position offers a salary of circa £50,000+, 33 days annual leave, lunch time finishes on a Friday, company events, and bespoke personal development programs for those that seek them.
Quality Manager responsibilities include:- Supporting and coaching the Quality team while liaising with production and suppliers.
- Leading internal and external audits, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
- Overseeing APQP activities including FMEA creation, control plans, and PPAP submissions.
- Investigating and resolving customer and internal quality concerns using problem solving tools.
- Managing calibration systems and measurement equipment, including CMM and Faro Arm.
- Driving continuous improvements activities across the plant.
- Experience in a similar senior quality role (Senior Quality Engineer).
- Industry experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or Industrial manufacturing.
- Skilled in core quality tools (PPAP, 8D etc) and systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001.
- Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
