Step into the driver’s seat of one of the most technically exciting roles in global sports broadcasting. We’re working with a world-class broadcast provider who delivers some of the most prestigious live motorsport events on the planet. They’re seeking a hands-on, technically confident Lead Technical Operator to take ownership of live broadcast operations from their dedicated UK motorsports hub.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the flawless delivery of live races, managing end-to-end transmission, liaising directly with clients, and making real-time decisions during some of the most watched sporting events in the world.
What you’ll do:
- Be the first point of contact for live broadcast operations during race weekends – supporting 26+ high-profile global events a year.
- Oversee signal monitoring, encoding/decoding, and RF transmission from a state-of-the-art facility in Greater London.
- Lead pre-event line-ups, testing, and troubleshooting, and ensure seamless coordination with international master control rooms.
- Work closely with on-site subcontractors and technical teams to ensure reliable, high-quality signal flow.
- Manage live routing changes and backup activations with calm confidence, even under pressure.
- Support wider sports broadcast technology projects during non-event weeks – including system installations and workflow improvements.
