We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to perform machining, deburring, and sub-assembly tasks in our clients machine shop, ensuring parts meet required quality, precision, cost, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will also mentor and train team members in areas where they demonstrate exceptional expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of manual and/or CNC machining tasks on equipment including mills, lathes, drills, bandsaws, bead blasters, induction welders, stud welders, and perform cleaning and assembly.
- Set up machines for assigned tasks.
- Calculate measurements for layouts, including angles, radii, milled slots, tapers, and bores as needed.
- Conduct benchwork as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Move materials as necessary to complete tasks.
- Support other departments with reasonable requests as needed.
- Provide input on designing fixtures, tools, or programs for specific processes.
- Train and guide operators in machine operation.
- Work independently with initiative.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Solid secondary education background.
- Completed a recognized apprenticeship or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in engineering or manufacturing roles.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
