The Role
We are seeking an experienced PAYE Reconciliations Expert to join our client's growing tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional to take ownership of complex PAYE reconciliation processes while contributing to the strategic development of the department's service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- PAYE Reconciliation Management: Lead end-to-end PAYE reconciliation processes for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Technical Tax Advisory: Provide specialist advice on complex PAYE matters, including employment status determinations, benefits in kind, and statutory payments.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for PAYE-related matters.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all PAYE obligations are met within statutory deadlines, including P11D submissions, PSA negotiations, and annual returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline PAYE processes and implement best practices across the team.
- Team Development: Mentor junior staff members and contribute to training initiatives within the tax department.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay current with PAYE legislation changes and communicate impacts to clients and internal teams.
