Transaction Tax Director

As a Transactions Tax Director, you will be responsible for leading our teams in providing the full range of tax due diligence and M&A structuring services to our clients. The role involves working with both domestic and international clients, offering opportunities for those with UK and cross-border experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Delivering complex tax due diligence assignments, including leading on corporation tax due diligence services;
• Coordinating with VAT, employment taxes, and other specialist teams across Mazars group countries to manage tax due diligence services;
• Collaborating with transaction services to market and secure new financial and tax due diligence projects;
• Building and maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting clients post-deal;
• Leading tax advisory and structuring services, managing complex assignments;
• Managing a portfolio of M&A tax advisory clients, including scope, negotiations, and relationship management;
• Working with deal advisory teams for seamless service delivery across tax and financial reporting sectors;
• Ensuring advice is accurately reflected in transactions through effective communication with clients and advisers;
• Supporting wider tax and advisory teams in developing opportunities and initiatives.

Strategic and Operational Leadership

Helping shape and implement the growth strategy for the transactions tax team, enhancing deliverables and processes, and supporting team development and performance management.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Professional qualification such as ACA or CTA (or equivalent);
• Strong technical knowledge of key tax issues in transactions;
• Experience in transactions and team leadership;
• Excellent project management skills and experience in managing financials and negotiations.
