We are seeking an experienced and diligent Automation Test Lead with extensive knowledge in functional and automation testing in the banking and financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep experience and understanding of test automation frameworks, and an understanding of COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products and experience in Data Modernization/Transformation programmes. As an Automation Test Lead, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of our software applications. You will also organise and manage the test automation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate (in-sprint, System and SIT, CI/CD) test design decisions, test framework alignment with Bank BEATS.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and refine testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of testing processes and ensure adherence to the clientβs existing frameworks.
- Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and status updates to project stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the testing team, providing technical expertise and support.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and develop test strategies.
- Potentially also support, advise, assist to prepare test data, migrations testing CI/CD, NFT and UAT.
- Potentially create automated solutions around data inputs, outputs and data source-target comparisons.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Automation Test Lead, with at least 5 years of experience and automation testing in the banking and financial sector.
- Experience with cloud technologies, such as Azure Data Factory.
- In depth experience, knowledge and understanding of test automation frameworks with Karate, JSON, NUnit, Pytest, Eggplant; along with Github Actions pipeline and IntelliJ IDE.
- In-depth understanding of COTS products and data modernization/transformation programmes, especially data ingestion, ETLs, and medallion data structures.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices, and tools, including test automation frameworks, Jira and for test management Jira-Xray.
- Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and version control systems.
- Solid understanding of agile and waterfall software development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Ability to work independently, look for alternative options, be proactive, keep things moving, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of banking and financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB or CSTE, are a plus.
