Order Ref: 35979685 Position Title: Engineer – Design Services Contract 23 Umbrella PAYE *Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.* I am currently recruiting on behalf of an Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a Design Services – Engineer to join their team Design proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development Supporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads. Helping to Identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes. Assembly management and drawing creation. Management of 3D assemblies Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop. Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6 Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions. Experience in project management and issue resolution. Previous experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry Experience of Agile project delivery Detailed knowledge of EDU design Experience of Agile project delivery Degree in engineering or similar Contechs is a leading Automotive, Design, Engineering, Technology and Innovation Recruitment Consultancy.
