FTC - Pensions Calculations Analyst

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with 2-5 years’ pensions experience, to join a thriving pensions technology business as a Pensions Calculations Analyst.

Calculation Analyst will be required to:

• Produce detailed specifications for pension scheme calculations and/or develop those specifications.
• Assist with the development and implementation of enhanced internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to high standards of governance.
• Work efficiently with the Business Analysis and Development teams, inputting where required to ensure client deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
• Assist the sales and client management teams as required, building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience

• Building calculations specifications from scheme documentation
• Strong IT skills and technical expertise e.g. SQL, and ability to adapt to new software.
• Capable of working to tight deadlines and think on their feet in a pressured environment.
• Proven team player who can adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent time management.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience working with pension scheme data
• Experience working with pensions scheme rules
• Experience providing consultancy services to clients
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Explain technical acronyms and jargon in plain English
• Building calculations specifications from scheme documentation
• Developing calculations in a low-code environment

Package

This role is a FTC for 6 months, with likelihood of extension, with a salary ranging from £40,000 – £50,000. In addition the successful candidate will also receive the usual benefits such as pension contributions, healthcare and life assurance. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
