We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to lead our livestock team in our bull stud and semen collection facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of bull management and semen collection, leading and developing a team of skilled personnel to meet stud production targets and utilising technology and innovation to drive performance. As Livestock Manager at AI Services you will have the opportunity to establish a strong profile within the genetics industry and be central to producing quality livestock genetics for farms in N.I. and further afield.

AI Services (Northern Ireland) Ltd. is a dynamic and trusted livestock genetics company committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. Our headquarters are home to Northern Ireland's only EU-approved bull stud and semen collection facility, delivering leading genetics across the UK, Ireland and worldwide. Redevelopment of these stud facilities are currently underway with the creation of a new high-tech SMART stud featuring cutting-edge animal management systems and a sexed semen laboratory. It is an exciting time within the organization with ambitious plans for growth and this role provides the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in our new facilities.
Role and responsibilities
- Leading a skilled livestock team to achieve monthly targets and KPI's.
- Managing bulls to optimise health, nutrition and welfare with the goal of maximising semen quality and production.
- Leading and developing the livestock team to include staff training, recruitment, working schedules and performance management.
- Embracing SMART technologies - from sensors to advanced data recording, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement in our stud practices and bull management.
- Working collaboratively with laboratory manager and centre vet to regularly review stud performance, ensure optimal semen production and achieve production targets.
- Championing health and safety standards and biosecurity protocols across the site.
- Leading resource management for the stud facility.
- Engaging with industry to showcase our stud facilities and AI Services with customers and industry stakeholders.
