Pear Talent is representing a market leading global Financial Services consultancy who have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst on either their French or Russian portfolio teams.
The role is extremely varied in terms of its activities, reflecting the need to rapidly respond to market developments and business initiatives. You’ll be expected to be able to gain credibility with senior stakeholders and demonstrate first class project management and communication skills.
Key accountabilities:
- Personally produce and present company specific financial research, analysis and commentary into the financial strength of a portfolio of leading Insurance companies.
- Analyse and challenge financial performance, forecasts and plans, business strategy, investment proposals, acquisitions and corporate projects.
- Unparalleled level of regular interaction with high profile senior client stakeholders incl. Exec level.
- Understand the markets in which they operate, their strategies, risks, products and distribution channels, as well as developing a thorough knowledge of the financial models driving the businesses.
- The role is extremely varied in terms of its activities, reflecting the need to rapidly respond to commercial and regulatory market developments.
- Work is often project based with ad-hoc requests and may involve international travel.
Required experience:
- The ideal candidate will be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA etc) with a Top10 Accounting Practice covering External audit of Insurance companies.
- You must have a business level of proficiency in Russian language.
- Highly numerate and analytical with a commercial mindset.
- Experience of preparing/presenting financial information to a senior audience.
- Able to undertake financial analysis/evaluation in order to interpret and understand the underlying performance of the business.
- Capable of constructively challenging and influencing others to achieve desired outcomes within deadlines.
- Strong excel skills.
- Demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines and stakeholder management.
