Settlements AnalystBased: London (Hybrid)Our client is a very successful international Energy Trading company with access to all key markets worldwide…This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop skills and responsibility within a growing and successful commodity trading business.Key Role Responsibilities:Invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of physical and financial trading activities, mainly for LNG (Accounts Payable/Receivable)Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve invoice reconciliation discrepancies proactively and timely.Responsible for ensuring the timely collection of cash and aging reporting.Work with the operations team to clear overdue Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable items and non-allocated cashIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvements around settlements processesEnsure the Settlements team SOP documentation is kept updatedEnsure compliance with trading standards and other regulatory requirementsEnsure correct tax treatment of invoicesOther tasks and projects assigned by the Settlements Team Lead and Senior Settlements ManagerMay be required to work outside of normal business hoursMay be required to cover settlements for other international officesKEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Recognised Qualification in Accounting or Finance (or similar)At least 1-2 years of Settlements working experience in Energy & CommoditiesSystem savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suiteAble to work independently with minimal supervision, strong self-initiativeAbility to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressureGood verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, and attention to detailsStrong team player and collaborate with other Finance team members to support overall Finance goals and objectives.Strong problem-solving skillsKnowledge of IMOS, Horizon, and SUN system is preferable but not a must as training will be provided.
