Join a global IT services and consulting leader as a Solutions Architect to work with the UK's largest mutual life, pensions and investment company to deliver large scale programmes of work (Microsoft stack) across multiple end-to-end technology domains. Salary up to £90k plus bonus, hybrid working from Edinburgh or Manchester.

About the role:

This role will play a pivotal role in contributing to the delivery of the strategy and technical design aligned to architectural road maps across selected key domains for Group Architecture. This role will support the Full Stack Architect to deliver large scale programs of work across multiple technology domain architecture landscapes and will support the delivery of End2End architecture projects.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will contribute to the development of the major technology strategies for the group, bringing specific technical competencies and knowledge ensuring these are carefully reviewed through governing bodies.
  • Be responsible for defining, influencing, and ensuring adherence to the strategic design principles and governance framework.
  • Must provide coaching and support for other members of the function to improve and extend the Architecture capability in line with the Architecture Target Operating Model.

Essential skills:

  • Strong technical design and enterprise-wide architecture understanding and skills.
  • Strong hands-on experience in delivering End2End designs and cost-effective, innovative, and maintainable enterprise application solutions.
  • Must have in depth and current knowledge of one or more common application technology stacks (e.g., Microsoft .NET application technology stack).
  • Applicants must have the ability to plan and think strategically on how technology evolves and how it will fit into the overall strategy.
  • Capability to develop presentations for executive and senior level committees, as well as strong influencing and communication skills.
