Data Engineer - Salisbury 2 days per week - up to £60k

DATA ENGINEER – UP TO £60,000 – SALISBURY, UK HYBRID

Ascentia Partners are working with a new client in the UK General Insurance market who operate within the personal lines space.

As a Data Engineer, you will report into the CTO directly and work collaboratively with various other business areas such as platform engineering, analytics, development and pricing to enhance their data engineering function.

This role would suit someone with a passion for problem solving, who wants to work in an environment where they are encouraged to implement their ideas and empowered to make decisions.

As the sole Data Engineer on this side of the business, you will need a minimum of 2+ years work experience.

So what are we looking for?

• Experience working with the Azure stack
• A passion for building data driven solutions, commitment to end to end data implementation and not afraid of getting your hands dirty!
• Relational database design, with experience in Python package being desirable for future developments (SQL & NoSQL)
• Experience working across data engineering and BI solutions, including the build of ETL pipelines from scratch
• Ability to think outside of the box, with commercial awareness of business requirements
• Confident in your own ability to work independently as well as part of a team
