We have partnered with a leading global private equity fund to identify a Vice President for its Real Estate platform, with a dedicated focus on the Italian market. The firm has a long-term, multi-billion-dollar capital base and is expanding its European footprint through strategic acquisitions and platform investments.
This is a unique opportunity for a high-performing investment professional with a strong track record in the Italian real estate market to join a world-class team and lead investments across logistics, living, and mixed-use sectors.
The Role
- Sourcing & Market Coverage: Originate and evaluate investment opportunities across Italy, maintaining deep relationships with brokers, developers, and local operators. Stay abreast of market dynamics and competitive intelligence in key Italian submarkets.
- Transaction Leadership: Lead all aspects of deal execution β underwriting, diligence, structuring, IC processes, and negotiations. Collaborate closely with global and regional functional teams (legal, tax, asset management).
- Asset Management Oversight: Support strategic initiatives for existing and new assets, driving operational performance and value enhancement. Partner with local operators and asset managers to oversee implementation of business plans.
- Strategic Development: Help define and execute the investment strategy for Italy within the broader pan-European mandate. Provide input on sector-level trends and entry/exit timing.
Candidate Requirements
- 8β12 yearsβ experience in real estate private equity; prior investment banking (RE coverage) is a plus.
- Demonstrable transaction track record across Italy, ideally including logistics, residential, or office investments.
- Deep knowledge of the Italian real estate ecosystem, with fluency in Italian and English.
- Strong modelling, analytical and negotiation skills, with end-to-end deal execution experience.
- Based in (or open to relocating to) London or Madrid, with flexibility to travel regularly to Italy.
- Self-starter attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work in a high-performance global platform.
