Would working with a new-era, rapidly growing start-up engineering firm excite you? Great! We are looking for an experienced structural engineer (senior and above) to join our rapidly expanding and ambitious team. We are looking for someone who will break the mould of the standard engineer; we are looking for passion, out-of-the-box thinking, and someone who likes to be part of an ambitious, ever-evolving team. For the right person, this role will quickly grow into a senior leadership role. Our ethos is to only take on projects that we enjoy, that excite us, and those that we can give 100% of our energy to. If that sounds like you, then read on!
What we’re looking for...
- Be a technical leader of structural engineering procedures and processes
- Be hands-on in delivering project solutions across the project lifecycle
- Be excited about being influential in the delivery of maritime projects
- Be client-facing and manage projects from inception to completion
- Support our team of engineers in technical guidance
- Solve structural engineering problems in steel and concrete, and occasionally timber.
You have:
- Strong experience in delivering design packages in heavy civils environments.
- A passion or experience in maritime projects
- A passion or interest relating to the marine environment
- A Civil or Structural Engineering Degree (or similar)
- Chartership with ICE or IStructE
What we do:
- Concept designs and planning for ports, marinas, flood defences, and ship terminals
- Detailed design of quays, retaining walls, jetties, pontoons, flood walls, and more
- Deliver calculation and drawing packages solving infrastructure problems
- Work for both asset owners and contractors in planning and live construction projects
- Deliver temporary works solutions for marine contractors
Our rapid success has been down to the strength of our relationships, and a key part of your role will be to build, develop, and maintain our relationships with contractors, clients, and partners. We like getting out to site to meet our clients, literally seeing the project through from concept to completion. We also value industry networking events, so be prepared to be social too!
We’ll make sure you’re challenged and supported every step of the way with your career development. Being a rapidly growing start-up, you have the exciting opportunity to join us at the beginning of our journey and help grow the business, so bring your ideas on innovation and progression and we’ll listen with open ears.
What’s in it for you...
- You’ll lead the way in developing our rapid growth and success, working closely with the Directors.
- We pride ourselves in not being like the dated, stiff engineering firms of the past, breaking the mould and offering flexibility and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
- We are building a culture of trust and want to put you at the heart of the business.
- We offer things like:
- Flexible working - work up to 2 days a week from home
- 28 days holiday plus statutory
- Incredible development and career growth
- A benefits package to be proud of i.e. salary sacrifice schemes, pension contributions, health insurance, cycle to work, and more
It’s also important for us to get to know you as a person. Our team is awesome, and we’re looking for someone who will bring their personality to work. If you’ve got hobbies or other interests outside work, then shout about them, let us get to know you!
The first step is to email your CV to careers@tilt-ed.com and we’ll be in touch. Don’t forget, we’re looking for personality and enthusiasm, so don’t forget to include something personable in your email rather than just writing ‘please find my CV attached’!
