Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) + 10% commission for the life of the contract, 6 weeks annual leave, free European getaway, free gym membership, up to £500 Car Allowance & more.

My client is looking for a results driven Business Development Manager to help grow their business in the Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder and has the ability to bring on accounts and business. Knowledge and experience with Air and Ocean Freight is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent customer service.
  • To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  • Promote the business to new and existing clients to help grow the Freight Forwarding sector.
  • Provide accurate information to internal operations staff in order that all relevant administration can be completed efficiently.
  • Be up-to-date on current developments in the market and information on competitors.
Requirements:
  • Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  • Air Freight experience.
  • Sea Freight experience.
  • Experience working for a freight forwarding company.
