Mechanical Technician (Kintore)

Due to continued growth, HMH in Aberdeenshire is expanding our Workshop team and seeking qualified Mechanical Technicians to carry out all aspects of repair, overhaul and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talksPerform all job functions in a safe mannerCarry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standardsEnsure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely mannerCarry out QC checks at Goods In point as and when requiredReport and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behavioursSuggest improvements to working practices and HMH product linesEnsure adherence to all local waste management policies and proceduresBe able to operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes and vertical lift platforms (following training)Successful candidates will:hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering disciplinehave a good working knowledge of fluid power systemsBe experienced in high pressure testing (oil and water mediums)Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systemsHave the ability to read schematic and layout drawingsKnowledge of subsea well control equipment, operation and overhaul, would be advantageousBe able to communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
