Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will be responsible for fabricating and welding mild steel, ranging from 2mm up to 30mm in thickness, using the MIG welding process.
  • Accurately follow engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Build subcomponents using jigs and then fit them to pre-assembled machine skeletons, contributing to the production of recycling equipment.
  • Operate saws and overhead cranes efficiently and safely as part of your daily tasks.
  • Engage in basic mechanical work when required, with full training provided.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and other team members to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a high level of conscientiousness and attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of the products.
  • Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment where adaptability and flexibility are key.

Benefits:

  • Starting pay of £13.75 per hour.
  • 4 day working week (6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday). Overtime available Fridays.
  • 20 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) per year, with the potential to increase to 25 days based on your years of service.
