Change Accountancy and Finance are working with a well-established business in Edinburgh to recruit a Tax Assistant to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid corporate tax background who’s looking to join a supportive team with strong long-term development opportunities.

Working closely with the team’s Manager and wider finance teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with corporation tax return preparation and submission to HMRC
  • Inputting tax computations and performing final checks using tax software
  • Supporting VAT return reviews and submissions, including import VAT matters
  • Assisting with PAYE compliance tasks such as PSA returns, termination payments, and IR35 assessments
  • Responding to tax queries and supporting tax compliance across the business
  • Helping drive improvements in tax compliance processes and automation

Requirements for the role:

  • Strong experience in corporate tax essential
  • ATT qualification or desire to pursue qualification (study support provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Self-motivated with a problem-solving approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Salary between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE plus benefits. Hybrid working week offered.
