One of our clients is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join them on a 2-week project, hybrid working out of London. Here your objective will be to work closely with stakeholders to collect technical and functional requirements, crafting a clear, comprehensive Request for Proposal to effectively communicate needs to vendors or service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with IT, facility managers, security, and end-users to identify wireless network needs.
- Conduct Site Surveys: Perform or oversee predictive and physical wireless site surveys to assess RF environment and review existing infrastructure compatibility.
- Document Specifications: Define technical specs and requirements for security, scalability, and system integration.
- Develop RFP: Create a clear, vendor-neutral RFP with project objectives, technical requirements, scope, evaluation criteria, and timeline.
- Support Vendor Selection: Assist in evaluating vendor proposals to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven track record working as a Solutions Architect / Senior Network Engineer.
- Experience working with WiFi technologies including 802.11 standards, WiFi-6 onwards WLAN design.
- Experience working with wireless solutions including Cisco, Aruba, and Fortinet.
- Experience working with wireless site survey tools Ekahau, AirMagnet.
- Understanding of networking protocols and security standards.
