About the Opportunity
We're supporting a well-established engineering consultancy renowned for its role in major UK building and infrastructure projects. They are currently looking to engage a Civil Infrastructure Engineer on a contract basis to help deliver a pipeline of residential and commercial developments.
This is a hands-on design role where you'll be responsible for the key components of civil engineering delivery, including:
- Drainage
- Utilities
- Earthworks
- Surface treatments (paved and unpaved)
- Site access
- Construction logistics
You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing technical expertise while working with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of below-ground drainage, utility layouts, and earthworks
- Detailing of hard and soft surfaces, access, and service routes
- Supporting planning, design, and construction phases
- Coordinating with other design disciplines and consultants
- Producing and reviewing designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure design on residential and/or commercial developments
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with UK design standards and best practice
- Able to work independently and liaise with multidisciplinary teams
- A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- Previous consultancy experience preferred
Additional Information
- Security Clearance: Due to the nature of some projects, candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance. This typically means you must have lived in the UK continuously for at least the past 5 years and be able to pass relevant background checks. Holding existing clearance is an advantage.
- Right to Work: Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, Skilled Worker visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this role.
