Our client is a well-respected global asset manager looking to add an experienced institutional sales person to focus primarily on their emerging market products (equity, fixed income and alternatives). As the firm looks to the future, they are seeking to hire an experienced institutional salesperson with the potential to grow into a leadership role over time.

This is a strategic hire aimed at succession planning – the current team is highly experienced and well-respected, but future leadership needs to be developed now. The successful candidate will play a central role in driving new business across real-money accounts, with a focus on building relationships with pension funds, insurers, and consultants.

While emerging markets will be the product range that this position is working with on day one, this person does not need to have EM-specific experience. What matters is credibility with institutional clients and a strong track record of raising assets in active capital markets strategies (EM or DM, Equity or FI).

Key Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in institutional sales within asset management
  • Strong network across UK and European real-money investors
  • Experience raising assets in active, fee-based strategies (equity or FI, less so hedge funds)
  • Ambition to play a broader leadership role over the medium term, without needing to step into it immediately
  • Based in or able to relocate to London
