Aurora Hanley School is a mixed day school for pupils between the ages of 6 and 19 with complex communication and social difficulties. Students may be on the autistic spectrum or have other difficulties that impact their emotional health and wellbeing and create barriers to learning.

We would like to appoint a candidate to be a key member of the clinical team in delivering and evaluating psychological support to our young people. Liaison with other professionals in the school will be a key part of the role, including teaching staff. The post-holder will undertake various tasks under the supervision of the clinical psychologist and have regular opportunities for professional development. Duties will vary; you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

The successful candidate will have a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Psychology, previous experience and/or an assistant psychologist or experience of working with children and young people, ideally in a special educational needs/mental health setting.
