JMC Aviation are working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation company based in South Wales, looking to recruit a new Planning Supervisor to join their team. This company is currently in the midst of building a global reputation for efficient, cost-effective quality work as one of the few independent UK-based MROs. As well as maintenance support, the company also operates as a training provider for commercial pilots. With the goal for continued growth, the company are looking to expand their team, with a position for a new Planning Supervisor available.
This is a Permanent Position based in South Wales, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, 37.5 hours.

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Head of Planning to plan all Maintenance requirements in accordance with the MPD, AMP and Customer requirements, to ensure compliance to all airworthiness requirements to maximise aircraft serviceability. Responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver key planning processes to demonstrate compliance with Part 145 Regulations.
Other duties involve:
- Support the Head of Planning in supervising and managing the smooth running of the planning operation across the Company.
- Mentor team members to develop both their technical and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure all company procedures and compliance standards are complied with when planning Maintenance tasks.
- Lead the planning function to ensure aircraft maintenance work-packs are accurately planned and produced to support the customer list of requirements and are delivered to the Production team in a timely manner.
- Lead and support the Production Planning team to ensure all A/C tasks are completed and recorded correctly, adhering to Customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Planning operation in terms of allocating work and authorising annual leave requests.
- Work flexibly and plan aircraft inputs with the Planning Engineers as and when required.
- Work flexibly and support Production Planning deliver the CRS, when required.
- Support the Planning Engineers with Customer pre-input meetings.
- Support the Production Planning team with Daily meetings.
- Co-ordinate third-party inputs as required and manage the liaison process between company and third-party representatives.
- Conduct audits of pre-issue work packs.
- Support Planning Manager with conducting regular departmental audits.
- Manage Company databases to ensure hours on task cards are constantly updated and accurate to reflect current best practice within an MRO environment.
- Responsible for planning and Production Planning resourcing requirements for each work-pack.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the Planning Supervisor will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- A solid background in aircraft maintenance planning
- Proven track record of planning complex work packs
- Experience of managing a planning function
- Excellent understanding of EASA Part 145 regulations
- Proven track record of working with a CAMO
- Good knowledge of Health & safety requirements
- Relevant background and qualification relating to maintenance planning and supervising
- Experience of working in a production environment desirable
