We are looking for a dedicated Operational Excellence Facilitator to spearhead the implementation of our Productivity Excellence program across our two UK locations. In this critical role, you will ensure the seamless deployment of the Operational Excellence (OE) framework, including Daily Management Systems (DMS), aligning with our global strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate the Operational Excellence program, championing the principles of Zero Defects, Zero Deterrents, Zero Harm, and Zero Waste.
- Collaborate with site teams to set ambitious targets and navigate efforts toward achieving financial savings and KPI goals while maintaining effective communication across all functions.
- Utilize your expertise in Lean, Theory of Constraints (ToC), and Six Sigma methodologies to coach teams, guiding them through project implementation and problem-solving techniques, while proactively identifying and addressing obstacles.
- Drive the strategy and rollout of the DMS program in accordance with corporate guidelines, enhancing team capabilities through targeted training and coaching initiatives.
- Analyze key productivity drivers, including employee performance metrics, organizational structure, and process improvements, to optimize productivity and efficiency across all areas.
- Support daily workforce planning, standardizing and harmonizing staffing norms in Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality Control, Engineering, and other support functions to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct industrial engineering studies to identify redundancies and eliminate non-value-added activities, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Monitor the progress of productivity projects, providing regular updates on outcomes and financial results.
- Assist in workforce budgeting and HR cost finalization, recommending optimal staffing levels to meet budget targets based on thorough analysis.
- Set and track productivity measures across operational and support functions, contributing to gap analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
- Contribute to workforce forecasting for cost and headcount requirements based on future capacity plans, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4 to 10 years in Industrial Engineering within manufacturing, corporate, or consulting environments.
- Skills: Strong communication and influencing abilities to build robust relationships with stakeholders. High levels of ownership and accountability, with a results-driven approach. Proficient in MS Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Minitab, Sigma XL, Excel Macros, and MS Office. Familiar with Industrial Engineering tools such as MOST, Time Studies, Capacity Planning, and Lean Management techniques including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Kaizen.
- Expertise: Hands-on experience in implementing the Productivity Excellence Framework with a strong emphasis on the tactical execution of initiatives. Proven track record of conducting diagnostics, gap assessments, and aligning proposals to drive meaningful change.
