The Job:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance and development of the controls systems (including control panels, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)).
- Help set up the plant / factory, assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Manage and maintain the plant control system systems and automation (DCS, QCS).
- Program PLCs and HMIs.
- Support and advise on projects.
- Implement software changes.
- Provide training to maintenance engineering team on aspects of control systems.
The Person:
- Controls and automation experience within an industrial plant / manufacturing environment eg materials manufacturing, paper, steel, metals, glass, recycling or similar.
- HMI & PLC programming – either Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi.
- Good communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills important.
